A walk in the Park…

Updated: Apr 8, 2021

We were approached by The Parks Trust to fabricate a gate and railings for the entrance of the Campbell Wharf Marina, where both pedestrians and vehicles shared the same facility.

The project requirements were to recreate an existing design on a bridge within the Marina.

So, we set about with a site visit to get an understanding of the surroundings and vibe, as well as getting the all-important measurements.

When back at the office, we began putting the ideas into CAD designs and, once signed off with the Parks Trust, the fabricating could commence. The design incorporated Common Bulrush Reeds made from steel and finished with Kephos and then powder coated (the Kephos process is a phosphate coating with a tough anthracite finish). The gate also featured a latch lock as well as three large poles so as to be able to mount the railings securely.

Once the powder coating phase had been completed, we were able to proceed with fitting the gate and railings, having it all finished and operational within a few hours of arrival, as well as a very happy client.
